Lois Julia Sider, age 98, of Chicago, IL, and Boca Raton, FL passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024. Lois was married for over 50 years to Will Sider (“Mr State Street”) owner of Carter Jewelers located on State and Madison in downtown Chicago. Lois was the consummate hostess to family and friends and her generosity legendary. She loved to read, and attend theater, and playing cards up to the day she passed away. Lois was most proud of her family including children Jerry Sider, Adriane Sider and Lee Coccaro-Sider (Greg). Lois is the beloved grandmother of Ross and Hilary Sider, Adam Hammond, and Kathy Hammond Pittman; and great grandmother to Ashley and Taylor Schmidt.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 25,2024, 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie, IL 60076.
