David E. Young

David E. Young, 99. Beloved husband of Marion; devoted father of Joel (Mary) Young and Martin (Anat) Young; proud Zadie of Amy, Leana, and Lizzy; loving son of the late Mendel and Molly Yanovsky; preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; adored uncle of many nieces and nephews; will be missed by many lifelong friends, who knew David as "The Count." He will always be remembered for his love of gardening, music, and baking. He will live on through the impact he had on so many over almost ten decades. He was an avid golfer and card player, served as the treasurer of the Timber Ridge Homeowners Association in Skokie, and supported various nonprofit organizations. Founder of an insurance agency in 1955 which he owned and operated for many years. David will forever be remembered for the love he had for his family, especially his beloved Marion. Anyone who knew him will continue to be inspired by his incredible wisdom, generosity, one-of-a-kind laugh, and infectious optimism.
