Dana Joy Meyer (legal spelling), 66, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Once and for all, it’s pronounced “Danna,” like Roseanne Roseanna-Danna. Joy was how people thought of her. Her hugs were joyous; her voice was joyful; her spirit was joyous. Some have described her as a force of nature, a firecracker, and a ball of light.
Danna’s legacy continues through her children, Steve and Rachel, her “brudders”: Doug (Stacey), Brian (Lindsey), Bradley (Vivi), Mark (Sheila), Steve (Mindy), and her sister Sandi (George). She was the beloved daughter of Elaine Blumenthal (Hank) and Jerry Meyer (Illyne). Danna was also a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, a second mother and sponsor to many, and she maintained special relationships with her ex and lifelong friend Neil, and her companions Joyce, Paul, and Anne.
