Still, there are no words to describe the void that is left in this world with your passing.  Your love and pride for your kids-hearing you talk about them with such joy… 
Thank you for shedding a little bit of that on the rest of us. I will miss your laugh, your hugs, your advice and you just being you.  I know it wasn’t always easy-but you got there and it was awesome. Love you.

Leaving Hyde Park in Chicago, landing in Glencoe in 1970 as my sister Andrea and I entered junior high school, was all-out culture shock. Dana (Bonni Seidmon included) and I became brilliant, fast friends which absorbed some of the aforementioned shock.  Dana stood out amongst the suburban bred class in many ways; her fire, mischievousness, family dynamic, lack of pretension and loyalty. In a word, she was a relentless upper with a common man's touch. We had countless friendship rituals, among them hours of corded phone time, love notes passed in hallways, fleeing school to go "uptown" to Harry's, Ricky's and the drug store, buying each other Hershey bars while laughing uproariously. Leaving Glencoe for Evanston, we sadly lost touch but the imprint of Dana's friendship remains forever.

So many great memories of my cousin Danna. It was wonderful for me and family to reconnect with her after many years at a Meyer reunion a couple years back. The next one won't be the same without her. Lots of love to everyone dealing with this loss.

I do not remember a time without Dana as part of my life. Early on, just across the street and later, spending time with our family and being so present in my mom's life. She showed remarkable resilience and a great capacity for caring. My first crush and I am thankful to having her as a part of my life these past years.

Such great memories I will have of us in Cleveland. From our Play group w the kids, playing Maj Jong, and many times just hanging out. 
I know you will be missed by your family and many countless friends I see you have had in Your life.

I did not know Dana well but do recall her natural athleticism. In grade school she was faster than all the girls and most of the boys. And when I worked a t Gino’s Standard Service Station it was always a treat when she stopped in for a pop.

Our childhoods with my brother, Danna and Doug are forever linked together. When my family moved into Timber Ridge, the Meyers were already there. I was almost 5, Doug almost 4 and Danna and Michael, my brother, were about 3 years old. Until the Meyers moved away, we had an idyllic childhood practically living at each other's houses, endless summers playing outside and winters in their finished basement!
And the past few years with Danna living in Chicago are treasured times as well. My mother, Joyce, became her second mother. I could really rest easy knowing that Danna had my Mom's back, doing errands with her, being a loving companion and friend. Watching her and my Mom together was a real joy. You could feel the love between them. 
The Niedermans will always love and be grateful for Danna Joy.
