Miss DiNatale was my first grade teacher then I got to work in her room during my senior year. She taught me so many things. I used some of the things she did with our class with my classes of students. She was a special  lady.

Amherst Lions Club Member: Lions Sarah: 
At Amherst Lions Clubs  Annual Pancake Breakfast held now for 27 years, Lion Sarah organized and ran a  gift basket auction for ~ 2 decades as an additional fundraiser during the breakfast.  Over the years she put together several hundred beautiful gift baskets that were auctioned helping to raise a lot of money for Amherst Lions Club.   Her dedication to the Lions Club Motto "We Serve" was inspiring to me.  She had a heart of gold and was always willing to run and manage the gift basket auction at the breakfast each year which was no small task.  
Heaven has gotten a new angel and her name is Lion Sarah.  I am sure that God will put you to good use.   It was a pleasure working with you to raise funds for a great cause,  our community, the world and the Amherst Lions Club.

Sarah is my dear, dear friend and will always be missed. She was the kind of friend who would help her friends with anything they needed which she did for me on so very many occasions. She started the Willow Ridge retired teachers luncheon group about thirty years ago and is still ongoing. There are no words to describe how very much we all loved her. ❤️

Since I have moved from WNY to Arizona, Sarah has been my lifeline to my friends from SweetHome and kept me informed about all that was happening.
Her kind and thoughful ways will live on in the hearts of many people she touched.  It was my pleasure to have her as a colleague and friend.

So many times in visits to Sarah’s home we talked about the end of life. And somehow that grim conversation always turned to laughter. That’s just the kind of lady—and patient—Sarah was . I truly looked forward to visiting with her, even introducing my dog to her. I suppose we were as much friends as doctor/patient. As with all of you, she knew and never forgot my birthday and always asked after my family. It was truly an honor and privilege to take care of this lovely lady for the years that I did. I will miss her like few other patients I’ve known. And now, to complete the circle, I say to her, in as loving and caring way I can, “Get out!” Somewhere really good she is laughing out loud to that! 

Miss DiNatale was my 2nd grade teacher at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary school on William Street in Cheektowaga in the 1950's.  She always had a smile and she gave the BEST hugs to me as a child.  When I thought of her through the years I thought of how kind she was to all of her pupils. RIP Miss DiNatale, until we meet again . 

Miss DiNatale was my 2nd grade teacher at Theodore Roosevelt school. It was early in her teaching career -- 1956-57. She was truly one of the most influential people in my life. Several years ago, I was able to reach her by phone and thank her. We had a delightful conversation.
May God guide her swiftly to eternal peace and love.

Aunt Sarah will be remembered fondly by our family. She was a wonderful aunt. We recall all the meals around that table and all the reminiscing about family and laughter. She remembered every birthday, holiday, graduation and anniversary and was a staunch supporter of her family. Aunt Sarah was a dedicated 1st grade teacher and I loved listening to her stories. She was a true Christian woman and we are going to miss her.

Aaaaand we're back. Where were we? Oh, yes. Gina shared a recent call with Rusty, who made us all laugh out loud at one of the many priceless Sarah Moments: The time you had Pizza delivered. The pizza was FINE. Everyone ate it all. But the ink on the receipt was so light as to be illegible, so...you called to complain. Hey, a receipt has ONE JOB. 

 

You reiterated that the pizza was great—but there was a dire need to get a receipt that would meet your readability standards, so you could keep it for your accounting records. When satisfaction wasn't forthcoming at the lower levels, you escalated the complaint until they promised to bring a new receipt. Man, talk about GRIT. As we often say to each other, "yous guys crack me up!"

 

PS: We're still curious about your awesome photo album with Dad's side of the family history. You know, with the pictures, birthdates, wedding dates and other moments we were too unruly to be invited to. Whoever finds it, we'd all love a walk down Sarah's Memory Lane. You left a very big torch, and somebody's gotta keep it lit.

Rest well, Sarah. We will always remember your giant hugs, your smile, and your never-ending dedication to family.

You were always a way better golfer than any of us could ever be (dammit) and you were always SO willing to share. We regularly  marveled at your ability to deliver crap news; somehow, in the updates you gave us, there was always a warm memory and a reason to smile. 

There's no doubt you're reunited with Uncle Ross and Aunt Anna -- and sliding over to see Mom, Dad and Darcy for a giant Manhattan. No bitters. (None of us could ever forget the immortal words of your Uncle John (our Dad): A Manhattan is never a Manhattan with bitters. Duh. )

We knew you couldn’t come to Canada for the past several years because you didn’t have a passport, although we're sure you now have a passport to “The Good Place."  But even when you couldn't be with us in person, you stayed connected, and that has meant the world to us. You were a wonderful, beautiful lady who really was the tie that bound the DiNatale family together; the glue who kept everyone up to date on the families. Sadly, that is all but gone now. But when you get through the pearly gates, you'll probably be able to trade some wicked stories (about weddings, golf, family history, whose ailment was the worst...like that).
