Robert A. Liebler

August 27, 2012, of Amherst, passed away on Monday after a brief but brave battle with cancer, he was 73, loving and caring husband of 48 years of Helen “Sandy” (Habermehl); generous father of Bob (Jessica) and Tom (Debbie); proud grandfather of Daniel, Sara, Matthew, Anna, David, Michael, Samuel, Joseph and Maria Liebler. Family will be present on Friday from 3-7 PM

at the PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Rd. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Leo the Great Church on Saturday at 9 AM. Bob was a regional sales manager for the McKesson Corporation for over 35 years until retiring in 1997. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf, paddling the lakes of Algonquin, cross-country skiing in East Arcade and watching his grandkids play soccer, hockey and dance. Bob was the founder and president of the Maplemere Tennis Club (MTC) and volunteered at St. Leo’s, Sacred Heart Academy and could be found every Monday serving at the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen.
