Mrs. Luongo was my pre-k teacher at school 77. I will always remember her as being kind and compassionate. She encouraged my parents to challenge me in my education. Thanks to her I graduated in 2015 with my bachelors and I graduate in December with my Masters. I was so sad to hear of her passing. Warm regards to the family.

Penny taught Pre-K one of the first years I was teaching.  Penny was out going and kind.  She was loved by her students and co-workers. I was saddened to hear of her passing. 
I will always remember her warm smile.

So sorry that I can't be there today to celebrate Penny's life with the Frankino and Longo families. As the youngest kid in the Crescent Avenue string of houses that we grew up in, I knew nothing but love and laughter from Penny; she may have even saved me from some 'tickle torture' by the boys or the occasional 'Georgie Porgie' choir sung to tease me. My heart breaks for all of you and you will remain in my prayers.

 I am so sorry to hear  to that Mrs. Longo passed.  When I first started teaching I worked with Penny at School 77 and School 30 , she was all about her students.  Mrs. Longo had a caring heart for people.  I remember her coming to my classroom with a palm plant when my dad passed in 2010,  she brought me flowers when my mom passed in 2013.  Just this passed June 2016 she came and brought me flowers and a big hug when I retired.  This is who she was.  Anytime I put out an e-mail that I needed something for my classroom , she would come up to my room and hand me her extras.  Penny will be missed, and I will always remember her lovely smile and her great heart.   I will cherish the memories of knowing and working with this wonderful teacher and precious friend. At the beginning of this year, my great-granddaughter started with her at School 30.
