Michael V. Milazzo, who designed and built many upscale homes in the Buffalo area, died Sunday in his Clarence home. He was 83.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. Milazzo was a graduate of New York State Technical Institute and the Naval Sea Cadet Academy in Pensacola, Fla., and was a Navy veteran.
Mr. Milazzo ran his luxury home-building business, Milazzo V. Milazzo Builders, from 1966 to 1996.
He received a Feature Performance award from Professional Builder magazine for his 60-home Woodbridge Village project, the first cluster development in Western New York.
He enjoyed traveling.
Mr. Milazzo is survived by his wife, the former Phyllis Skoczylas; two daughters, Dana Zendano and Korey Chodash; a son, Steve; a brother, Joseph; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 4375 Harris Hill Road at Main Street, Clarence.
