Todd and Dan,

I have nothing but ridiculously funny and fond memories of your dad.  He will be forever missed and remembered within our entire circle of friends.   Love you guys.

I am so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a very kind and gentle man. I hired Mike to be an adjunct speech pathologist at NTID/RIT. He was very dedicated to the students, as well as his colleagues.  He had keen insights and his input on departmental affairs was always welcomed.  He was a true professional and a great asset to the department.

I just learned of Mike's passing from Tom P.  We worked with Mike. He was one of my favorite people at St.Mary's School for the Deaf and Canisius College. Mike was very professional and friendly.  We feel very deeply for Carol and the boys. Mike was a very special man.

I would like to extend my sympathy to Carolyn and all of Mike's family.  
I have such fond memories of Mike.   I met Mike when we were Trainees at St. Mary's.  The friendships we made during our trainee year remain very special to me.

Seeing all the visitors at Mike's wake was evidence that Mike was loved and respected by all those whose lives he touched in both the hearing and deaf communities.

Mike always had a kind word and a ready smile.  He was a dedicated teacher.  It was apparent that he truly loved his work.
Mike will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dear Mike,
You and I have spent the last 72 years as friends. From Kindergarten at St. Aloysius, through our Friday night sock hop gatherings at Fallon High, and  on, you were the anchor; you were the guide of reason and compassion  for our slightly off balance foursome  which included John Dulmage and Roy DiPasquale.  There has never been a time, as I head off to watch a football game, that I don't recall the brisk Saturday afternoons when I would walk down Burke Dr. to your home, pick up a gallon of apple cider and slip away to that blissful moment and space in the bleachers of the UB stadium where two young kids could solve the world's problems and sill make it home by sunset.  Thanks for living your courageous life.

Carolyn & family - John & I were saddened to hear of Mike's passing. We have so many great memories of our training class from 1967-68 at St. Mary's and many reunions over the years. 

Mike will be remembered as a wonderfully kind and compassionate man who did so much to improve the lives of so many deaf people. We are blessed to have known him.

My condolences go to all of you for your loss. I know Michael at St. Mary’s School for the Deaf as student for several years. He was my Speech teacher. I believe he was taller of all faculties and staff during my time. Smile. I am sure he is smiling in Heaven with his loved ones and God.  God blesses Michael.

My deepest sympathy Carolyn and family.  I have fond and humorous memories of training Mike to become an Explore Buffalo Docent this past year. He was an enthusiastic and dedicated volunteer. Even when we walked Canalside in the cold and blustering wind, he showed up, bundled against the elements, with lots of extra materials and photographs. He found, recorded and shared the canal song, Low Bridge, to add a musical element to our tours. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to meet and volunteer with Mike. He will be missed. 

Deepest sympathies to Mike's wife, family and friends.  I got to meet him during our Explore Buffalo new docent training, and then ran in to him many times while he was happily giving his Canalside tours.  
Mike was so enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with people, and was such a nice guy. Despite only knowing him for a short while, I'll miss our chance meetings, talking about our tours, and just enjoying the excitement of being docents.  I am sad that he is gone, but so happy that I was able to know him for this little while.  RIP Mike.  - Scott

I came to know Mike as a member of the Buffalo Maritime Center. Mike was the consummate communicator. As a docent at the Long Shed at Canal Side - relating the history of the Erie Canal and Buffalo Maritime Center's construction of the Seneca Chief to commemorate the bicentennial of Governor Dewitt Clinton's  "Wedding of the waters" he was always welcoming to all who came to visit and a true ambassador of Western New York and Buffalo's renaissance. He was a class act a wonderful human being and will be sorely missed.
