December 16, 2014, age 91, of Amherst, NY, beloved husband of the late Mary (Gruenthaner); dearest father of Carol (Francis) Hulme, Linda (William) Julicher and the late Richard and Kevin Nies; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Christopher) Kovalick, Kevin Hulme (Karen Morris), Cheryl, William (Jessica) Julicher, Jr.; son of the late John P. and Marguerite (Hans) Nies; brother of the late Beatrice (late Frederick) Riek and the late John (late Lorraine) Nies, Jr.; survived by nephews.
