So sorry to hear about Mr. Casuccio. He was the best gym teacher, with such a kind and caring heart. I used to see him at the fair grounds every year, for a long time, and then one day, he never came back. To this day, I always think of him, when I go to the fair, now I know he is in a wonderful place, called Heaven. RIP Mr.C.

Dear Carol and family,

I was so sorry to hear of Joe's passing.  He was my 2nd cousin and I remember him riding me on his bike way back when we were just kids. I also will always remember how nice he was to my mother Jane, her mother and his mother were sisters. My sincere sympathy to you and your family and also to Marie,Phyllis and Sal.

Dear Carol and family, 
     It's very hard to say goodbye to old friends especially when you're so far away.  We're so sorry we weren't there to pay our last respects.
    We have so many great memories--our wonderful trip to Europe, cross-country skiing and our New Year's Eves with those silly hats and horns.

A graduate of Maryvale High School 1968 I spent many hours with coach as he guided me and and our gymnastic team through practice's and competition's.Thank you for the team photo displayed,it sure brought back some fond memories. I had just returned home from a trip when I heard the news of Joe's passing and was surprised and saddened by the news.  My friendship with Joe and Carol through the Bflo. Thunderbird Club will always be remembered with smiles and love with all the comfort given to me when Frank passed away.  Joe was truly a unique person with a wonderful gift of compassion and the understanding of others' feelings.  If there's Thunderbirds in Heaven, we know who's in the driver's seat. Jack and I will really miss Joe.  Having him and Carol as our next-door neighbors these past 15 years has been a real blessing.  We so much admired his energy, talents and outgoing personality.  We'll miss seeing him cutting grass and working on his beloved Thunderbird. Many condolences to the Casuccio family.  I often thought of Mr. Casuccio through the years when I swam in pools, Lake Erie, and the Gulf of Mexico.  When I was a youngster, Mr. Casuccio "coached" for Girl Scout swimming on Monday nights and summer swimming camp when I was a youngster. Hi All, These words didn't come to me till getting home after Christian Mass of Burial at Saint Gregory and then after the wonderful reception at Windows On The Green. If you where unable to attend either, I believe Joe knew you where there in spirit.
Anyways, my cousin Jim got up at the reception and set up a microphone and said a word or two about Joe and then made offer for anyone else to share a thought about Joe.
Like I mentioned, the words didn't come to me till getting back home. So, I'd like to share them now.
I'm sure there are many fish that are happy they wont have to face Joe behind the fishing rod. But next time you're out fishing and you catch a fish, maybe ask Joe to say a prayer for you and then know he is with you during your fishing trip.
Maybe next time you find a golf ball in the tall grass or brush and it's not your ball, think of Joe and ask him to pray for you and know he is on the course with you.
I'm going to do both and hope you'll all find inspiration to do the same in every day things you do. Not only for and with Joe but anyone of our faithful departed friends or family. God Bless

After 4-years in the US Army, I enrolled at the Univerisity of Buffalo in 1952 and decided to play freshmen football and this is where I met Joe who became one of my first and best friends all during our 4-years of college.
We would meet in the library, Joe studying for his Physical Edcuation classes, and I studying for my Business School classes.  Upon starting studying, Joe would take his glasses off and I would put mine on.  And he and I would meet in the cafeteria for lunch and I always envied his delicous looking sandwiches with his mother's speciality baked Italian bread.  Additionally,he would bring his own tea bags and take advantage of the school's hot water. 
While attending to our respective school studies, and playing football, Joe and I needed to work part time jobs, he working in gas stations in his Gardenville/West Seneca areas. and I on the West Side of Buffalo where I had worked mostly on moving trucks.  
It was at UB that I had met my wife, 
Bobbie Klein, who was also a Physical Education student and subsequently was a teacher at Maryvale when Joe was Assistant Principal.  Her sisters, Peggy and Marcia, and her brother, Bill, were aslo Physical Education teachers and also had the privilege of knowing Joe.
Even though Joe and I had different career paths and didn't see much of each other after the memorable school years, he was aways one of my valued friends.
Some years ago, someone had given me one of Joe's business cards - Cass Bro's Service - with two pictures of his beloved Thunderbird cars - which I had kept and happen to be looking at right now. I will always keep this card as a reminder of my cherished times with Joe.
As with many dear older friends, I had always hoped that Joe and I would get together, just talk - to reminisce - but the Lord has spoken for Joe and he happens to have preference.

I was in your third grade class the year you and Joe fell in love and were married. I remember how your face would light up when he came to the door of our classroom. I graduated in 1968 when Joe was Vice Principal at Maryvale. Throughout my years at Maryvale, he was a constant source of support for me.  I have grandchildren now and when they ask me about my education, you and Joe always are present in our conversations.  Third grade was my most favorite year and physical education was always my favorite class....because of you and Joe.  May God Bless him and may God Bless you and your dear family. A very special soul has entered Heaven.  The bells are ringing!!

I remember the times he taught the girls gym class about the game of football.  He was a true role model for any student to look up to.  Even tho just a man he was a giant to all that new him.

(50 miles round trip- Wow). On the way back on Main St. outside of Clarence we stopped at fruit stand.  Guess who pulled up behind us?  Mr.Casuccio- He wanted to know what the heck we were doing out here!   Every time he saw me in school he would ask me if I have been to any good fruit stands lately.  What a great guy. Mr. Casuccio was one of my favorites when I was in high school. He always had a smile and tried to be a positive influence. Even after high school, he made sure I met his son Tony....so that we might be friends going away to Fredonia. He will be missed by many!! My prayers go out to the whole family.    It is very difficult to realize that Joe is gone.  He was one of the healthiest looking guys I ever knew, even when I last saw him in Feb.
   He leaves me with some great memories of Maryvale Elementary, water polo in the high school pool followed by drinks and Magic at the Forks Hotel, and lastly, Administrative Council meetings where I always sat at Joe's right.

I spent many hours sitting in his outer office back in the 70's.  He was always fair and an extremely nice man. I had a lot of respect for him. I also have fond memories of him teaching young kids how to do flips on the trampoline, outside in the summertime. He will be missed.
