Daniel P. Starr entered into rest on September 11, 2024 at age 90. Beloved husband of 64 years to Joanne (nee Callahan) Starr; devoted father of Katherine L. Starr, Elizabeth S. (Joseph M.) Hassett, Mary Louise "Molly" (Michael Adowski) Starr and Jennifer S. (Scott Sherlock) Hyde; cherished grandfather of Joseph D. Hassett, Nicholas E. Hassett, Katherine S. Hassett and Zoe L. Hyde; loving son of the late Harry and Marion Starr; dear brother of Roger (Cree) Starr and the late Harriet Coleman, Geraldine Keane, James Starr, Thomas Starr and William Starr; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Rd., Williamsville, NY 14221 on Sunday (September 22, 2024) from 1-5pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Amherst, NY 14226 on Monday (September 23, 2024) at 10am. Please assemble at church. Dan was a veteran of the US Army, earned a PhD in history and was the retired Athletic Director from Canisius College. Flowers gratefully declined.
