Charles Lee Abell

Charles L. Abell "Lee", age 89, of Buffalo passed away at home on Friday, August 11, 2023 after a long illness. Husband of Sally Danna Abell; father of Alice O'Malley Abell, Charles Lee Abell III (Margaret), Edward Stuart Gordon “Frits” Abell, Mark Abell (Kary), and Sarah Abell; he was predeceased by his sister, Suzanne O'Brien. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will be present Monday, August 21 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Rd, Williamsville. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Tuesday, August 22, 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 4007 Main St, Amherst, New York. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lee's memory may be made to Nichols School, 1250 Amherst St., Buffalo, New York 14216 or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
