Ann C. Harris passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Born on March 13, 1972, Ann was only 50 years old. Ann was known for her incredible intellect and quick wit, attributes which were intrinsic to her personality from birth. These qualities, and her extraordinary work ethic, allowed Ann to rise professionally from a part-time position in banking, to her career as an Administrative Vice President with M&T Bank. Ann was proud of her work, which helped individuals and families in financial crisis maintain their homes.
Ann was perhaps best known for her strong sense of loyalty and equally matched sense of humor and wit. Ann used these qualities to help her loved ones through difficult times. Although strong, Annie had a kind heart, and was fiercely protective of the people she loved. Ann was exceptionally independent and capable in all areas, from cooking to painting to home repair.
Without question Ann’s finest accomplishment and source of immense purpose and pride is her son, Matthew, whom she leaves to carry on her legacy. Ann’s life was devoted to Matthew and the activities they shared, many centered around years of hockey and lacrosse and, of course, their beloved Buffalo Bills. Annie loved Matthew in a way that was supportive, encouraging and unconditional. He is, rightfully, the light of her life.
Ann is predeceased by her father, Arthur M. Harris who held Ann dearest. Ann is survived by her mother, Linda A. Harris, with whom she shared a special bond, talking and laughing every day. Ann and Linda were much more than mother and daughter- really more like best friends. Ann is also survived by her siblings, Mike (Kim) and Jean and their children, Vincent, Alex and Luke. The loss felt by Ann’s family is immeasurable. We will hold Annie in our hearts forever and be thankful to God for the brilliance she brought to our lives.
