Garland Tom Holliday

Thursday, July 31, 2014 Jesus reached down his hand for Garland Saunders

“Tom" Holliday. Tom, 85, passed away in his home in Bear Grass, NC.

Tom was born on April 11, 1929 to the late J.D. and Pattie Holliday. He

was a member of Bethany P. H. Church. He pastored various churches from

1955-2000. Tom worked for the NC Dept.of Agriculture for 30 years. He

was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Tom loved his church, family, friends,

and community but most of all he loved The Lord.

Funeral services will be held Sunday August 3, 2014 at 2:00pm at Bethany

P.H. Church, 1260 Tyner Road, Williamston, NC by Rev. Reuben Batchelor,

Rev. James Holliday, and Rev. Chris Watkins. Burial will follow at Martin

Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include a wife, Eva Jones Holliday, of 60 years. Children include

Debbie McKee and husband Ira, of Marietta, GA. Mike Holliday and wife

Jaynel, of Zebulon, NC, Sharon Holliday-Scott and husband Randy of Bear

Grass, NC, Phil Holliday and wife Annette of Bear Grass, NC, Donnie

Holliday and wife Tammy of Bear Grass, NC, and Jeff Holliday and wife

Pam of Williamston, NC. Siblings include Jimmy Holliday and wife Shirley

of Williamston, NC, Barbara Bowen and husband Theodore of Williamston,

NC, and Pat Taylor of Williamston, NC. Tom had 9 grandchildren and 7

great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday August 2, 2014 from 6:00pm-

8:00pm at Bethany P.H. Church and they will receive other times at the

home, 1590 Five Cent Road, Williamston, NC.
