John "Tom" Thomas Pelton, 76 years old of Williamston, sadly passed away on February 12th, 2024. Tom graduated from Williamston High School in 1965, and then served in the Navy for four years during the Vietnam War. When he returned, he began working at General Motors, where he worked as a painter for 37 years. Tom married Janice (Gubry) Pelton and they were married for 54 wonderful years. Tom loved playing pool, golf, gardening, music, playing the guitar, woodworking, and he especially loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Janice, sister-in-law Janeen Enochs, daughter Laura Green, son-in-law Dave Green, grandsons Connor and Reilly Green, son Dan Pelton, his partner Olivia Nelson and their children Lincoln and Sawyer Nelson. He is preceded in death by his father Wayne Pelton and his wife Evelyn, mother Ann Pelton, brother Duane Pelton, father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Inez Gubry, brother-in-law Barry Gubry, and nephew Bobby Gubry.
