Stacey Michelle Harris, age 33 of Lansing, Michigan was born August 31, 1988 in Pontiac, Michigan to Ronald Harris and Dawn Harris (nee Spano) and passed away August 5, 2022 in Lansing, Michigan.
Stacey was a devoted mother, loving daughter, sister and friend. She had the kindest heart and made it her life’s mission to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Growing up, Stacey was the first to volunteer to babysit and spent countless nights caring for other children as if they were her own. She had the most redeeming qualities from a young age that made people want to be near her. Stacey had the most beautiful smile and her positive demeanor was felt by all who knew her.
She was a lifelong friend to everyone she met and was quick to become someone you could trust and confide in. She was a safe place for everyone and anyone. Stacey devoted much of her time and energy to her faith. She was an active member in her church and women’s group where she touched the lives of so many.
Stacey was destined to be a mom and was blessed with her first son Kason in December of 2010. He was the light of her world, and their bond was unbreakable. They shared a love for football, whether Stacey was cheering for Kason on the field or watching MSU football on Saturdays. A pastime they were eager to share with baby Giovani this fall.
While Stacey’s life was cut far too short, her 33 years serve as a reminder that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time one gets on this earth.
Stacey is survived by her parents: Ronald and Dawn Harris; son: Kason Harris; father of Giovani: Edrese Johnson; siblings: Todd (Amber) Harris, Alexandria (John) Dean, and Tara Harris; uncles: Jim (Diane) Harris, Sam (Marguerite) Spano, and Joe (Kathy) Spano; aunt: Luanne (Bob) Kondel; nieces: Aubrey, Ava, and Alexa; nephew: Kaleb; special extended family: Aniah and Edrese Jr.; and many other cousins and close friends.
Stacey is preceded in death by; Grandparents: Mary and Joseph Spano, and Connie Harris; Uncle: Richard Harris, and was soon after reunited with son Giovani Harris.
