Ralph Jr. was born on November 28, 1941 to the late Ralph and Luella (Brock) Chamberlain Sr. The family started out in New Hudson and then moved to Webberville when Ralph Jr. was a young boy. Ralph Jr. was the oldest of six.
He graduated from Webberville High School where he married his high school sweetheart, Linda (Baughan) Chamberlain.
In 1964, Ralph started working at General Motors as a line repairman for side windows and door locks. Then working at Fisher Body as a booth cleaner. Ralph was most proud of working in the Powerhouse as a repairman, this is a skilled trade job that required him attending Lansing Community College. Ralph did say that if he knew that he could have been a repairman he would have love to do this job from the beginning of his career. Ralph loved working 3rd shift and made many friends through the years.
While working in Lansing, Ralph pursued his true love and that was livestock and crop farming.
Ralph Wesley Chamberlain Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully in the morning of Friday, January 12, 2024 at Independence Village of East Lansing while in care with Haven of Rest staff.
Ralph leaves behind his wife, of 62 years, Linda (Baughan), his three children, Ralph Chamberlain III his wife Annette, Teresa her husband Michael Toth, and Floyd Chamberlain his friend Jacquelyn Bullen; grandchildren, Brooke Tate (Thomas), Lindsey Latta (Michael), Eric Toth, Presley Chamberlain, Parker Chamberlain (Sierra); great-grandchildren, Nathan Densmore, Bristol Densmore, Ethan Latta, Virginia Densmore, Kendall Latta, Corbin Leavine, Wesley Tate, Blakeleigh Chamberlain, Henry Tate, and Cora Tate.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Edward and a granddaughter Heather Toth.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, 10-11:00am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes in Williamston.
A funeral service will directly follow the visitation. Ralph will be laid to rest at Rowley Cemetery. There will be a repast reception luncheon after the Cemetery at Ingham County Medical Care Facility (Dobie Road) Entrance #2.
The family welcomes those who would like to attend this memorial in loving memory of this beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Stories and memories of Ralph would be greatly appreciated.
