Paul Orson Stoddard Sr.

Paul Orson Stoddard Sr., born February 8, 1923 to Leland and Hazel (Marrison) Stoddard, passed away peacefully at home with family and special caregiver by his side January 16, 2014 at age 90. Paul was a lifelong resident of the Haslett area who loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing. Paul enjoyed a long retirement, he loved traveling throughout the United States and spending his winters in Florida. Paul; loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather is preceded in death by son John (1974), and two brothers Willard and Dale Stoddard. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Shirley, daughters Susan (Sam) Lovall, Sally (Alan) Colandrea, Sherry (Bryan) Lensing, sons James Stoddard, Paul (Sheri) Stoddard, Matthew (Jessica) Stoddard, seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sister in law Reva Stoddard, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Monday January 20, 2014 at 11am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Middle St. Williamston with The Rev. Dr. James Robinson of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be Sunday January 19, 2014 from 5:00-8:00pm. Interment will be at Oak Plain Cemetery in Shaftsburg, MI.
