Nan was born on October 12, 1942, in Owosso, MI to Linus and E.G. (Marshall) Bond, who preceded her in death. She was the oldest of ten children (eight of which were girls), raised in a loving one-bathroom home and remained close through life.
In 1983, Nan married Dr. John Wayne Judy Jr. (Jack). Blending their families, they enjoyed 37 years of marriage until his passing in 2020. They traveled the world together experiencing cultures in places such as China, Costa Rica, Kenya, the former U.S.S.R, Egypt, Australia, Ireland, and the Galapagos Islands, to name a few.
Nan retired from the Michigan State University Agricultural Department in June 2002. She was well-respected and enjoyed the people and her time there. Nan was a true MSU Spartan supporter and cheerleader (GO GREEN).
Always keeping busy, Nan spent her retirement years with her friends, large family, and many grandchildren. She and Jack wintered in Destin, Florida for years and made many long-time friends. Nan was an avid reader, scrapbook crafting enthusiast, and cultivated the most beautiful flower gardens at her home.
Nan was preceded in death by her husband Jack, her brother David Bond, and sisters Ellen Gregory and Teri Putman. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Jill Chambers, Linda Mayer, Mary Plowman, Susie Chandler, Jane Conklin, brother Stephen Bond, her children Jackie, Michael, Charles, Martha, Douglas, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and her loyal companion Heidi.
