He leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years, Lee Ann (Linkowski) Clarke; his 3 daughters, Laurie (Tom) Oxender, Linda (Mike) Bosma, and Jennifer (Todd) Arens; 2 sons, Bill (Dorothy) Clarke, and Patrick Clarke; as well as 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Bill was born October 25th, 1936, in Jackson, Michigan to parents Milton and Frances (O'Rourke) Clarke. After serving in the US Army, he began a long career in the insurance business with Western-Southern Life. Bill provided a wonderful life for his family.
Bill enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He loved traveling with his family to Texas, Florida, and especially enjoyed their trips to Northern Michigan. Many great memories were made across several generations at the family cottage on Long Lake. It was here that he taught his children and grandchildren how to bait hooks, fish, boat, and enjoy the great outdoors as much as he did. Bill also enjoyed attending all his grandchildren’s many sporting events through the years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Connie Clarke.
The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel. To leave a cherished memory or words of sympathy for the family please visit www.grwilliamston.com.
