Larry was born on September 2, 1944, and passed away, August 20, 2015, at the age of 70.
Larry graduated from Okemos High School in 1962, went on to Lansing Community College in 1962, then on to Eastern Michigan University receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Larry was the family food critic and enjoyed watching sports and participating in fantasy football. He was an avid reader and a Spiritual family leader & Biblical Scholar. Larry also loved traveling escapades with the family.
He was a coach of various little league athletics when his children were growing up and a Deacon of South Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for 30 plus years.
Larry & Ellen would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, August 26th.. Larry was deeply loved and will be greatly missed until the day we are again reunited in heaven for all eternity.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Marian Best and sister Pamela Nowlin.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Ellen Rose (Banning) Best; sons Jeffrey Allen (Elizabeth) Best, Matthew Allen (Sheri) Best and daughter Amy Ellen (Bill) Estes; grandchildren Stephanie Kalchik, Andrew Estes, Alayna Best, Solomon Best and great grandson, Leon Kalchik.
Graveside remembrance and prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Summit Cemetery, Beeman Rd, Williamston, MI.

Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
