Julie Gaye (Baughan) Shear, born Sept 22, 1955, left this world on Dec 19, 2016.
Julie is survived by her loving husband, Herbert Shear; stepdaughters, Melissa Martin and Michelle (Jim) Swartz; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Graham, Susan (Russ) Cockerill, Virginia Cassaday and by her many nieces and nephews from her large extended families. Julie was predeceased by her parents, William and Leona Baughan; brothers, Ronald and Dean; sister, Norma (Baughan) Fetterolf; brothers-in-law, Carlos Fetterolf, Dale Graham, Thomas Cassaday, Dallas Thornton and Keith Shear; and nephews, Bradley Graham, Anthony Thornton, Troy Eaton, Adam Graham and Colin Babcock.
Julie graduated from Williamston High School and obtained her Horticulture Degree from Oregon State University. She was especially talented in creating art including gardening, reading, crocheting, knitting, glass bead making, bead weaving, painting and drawing, plus hidden talents playing her spirit flute and making and playing her spirit drum.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am Friday, December 23, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Middle St, Williamston, MI, with visitation one hour prior to service. The family will receive friends and visitors from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
