A lifelong Williamston resident, Helen was a skilled crafter who lovingly created quilts, blankets, afghans, booties, and even pen holders for everyone she met. Helen enjoyed gardening and never passed up a coupon or sale at the grocery store, and she generously clipped coupons for any product or brand desired, by anyone she knew. She was active at her church for 96 years: faithful in her attendance, generous with her help in the kitchen, and gentle in her teaching of Sunday School classes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale; daughter, Phyllis; and sons-in-law, Paul and Clyde. Surviving are her children, Dorothy, James (Beth), John (Marilyn), Elaine (Dick), Gary (Bob), 30 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 2pm at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 5491 Zimmer Rd., Williamston. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 4pm until 7pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston.
