Harvey was born in Estherville, Iowa and his journey brought him to Eaton Rapids, MI during his formative years, where he attended Eaton Rapids schools. Growing up in the VFW National Home, he developed a strong sense of community and camaraderie that would shape his life.
In his adult years, Harvey settled in Williamston, where he flourished and built countless meaningful relationships. Known for his outgoing and welcoming nature, he never met a stranger. One of Harvey's greatest passions was gardening, and he could often be found tending to his vibrant flowers and lawn with care and dedication. He found joy in the beauty of nature, spending countless hours birdwatching and admiring the scenery and animals.
Harvey is survived by his children: Robert (Lisa) Harr, Aaron Harr and Brian (Julie) Harr; grandchildren: Pietro, Charles, Benjamin, Kyra, Chelsea, Brian Jr., Stephen, Hadleé and Hannah; siblings: Rocky (Ed) Sluiter, Robert (JoAnn) Harr, Sharon (Lynn) Harr, Jeri Olson and Leslie Montelo; and many nieces and nephews. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Kean Harr and Marla Silvas. Memorial contributions in memory of Harvey may be made to the VFW National Home in Eaton Rapids.
