She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Bessie Chelf, sister Doris Chelf, brothers Paul (Deanna) Chelf, Wayne Chelf and Calvin Chelf.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years Irving Richard "Dick" Carter, and their children; Valorie (David) Shepherd, Todd (Liza) Carter, Troy Carter, Valisa (Gordon) Davis, and Voni (Brian) Booyinga. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, sisters-in-law Dorothy Chelf, Karlene Chelf, brothers-in-law Larry (Shirley) Carter, Alan (Mary Lou) Nemer and dear friends Jr. and Janie Kirby.
Geneva will be remembered for her culinary skills, baking and cake decorating. She was a gifted artist, painter and seamstress. She loved her family and friends especially her church family at Vantown Community Church.
The family wishes to express their hearfelt appreciation to Heartland Hospice for the care provided to Geneva.
Please join her family at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel for a visitation on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm. Memorial Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Vantown Community Church (3504 E. Howell Road, Webberville, MI 48892) with Pastor Terry Turner officiating.
