Dorothy Murray was born on August 11, 1928 in Gagetown, MI and passed away November 29, 2017 in Okemos, MI at the age of 89. She was a resident of Williamston and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church since 1960. Dorothy drove school bus for Williamston Community Schools for 23 years. She loved dancing, playing cards and traveling, especially spending time in Arizona. Dorothy was known for her infamous cinnamon rolls. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Cecil Loomis; 2 infant children, Sarah and James; son, Timothy Murray; sister, Lucile DeLong; sister-in-law, Lorraine Maurer and brothers-in-law, Donald DeLong, Irvin “Bud” Kritzman, Alex Murray, Alfred Murray. Surviving to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 68 years, A.J. “Anthony”; children, Rondy (Dick) Murray-Preston, Sheila (Phil) Roach, Kathy (Scott) Murray-Rice, Marilyn (Jerry) Murray-Phenney; grandchildren, Alyssa, Amy, Adam, Laura, Julie, Tom, Libby, Missy, Andy, T.J., Justin, Evan, Chelsy; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Ruben, Megan, Ella, Olivia, Emily, Hannah, Casey, Jackson, Henry, Dominic, Cameron, P.J., Teagen, Christian and Austin; brothers, Donald (Anita) Loomis, David (Joyce) Loomis; sister, Shirley Kritzman; sisters-in-law, Patricia Murray and Mary Murray; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 5, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 157 High Street, Williamston, MI 48895. Visitation will be at St. Mary Church Hall Monday, December 4th 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with rosary at 7:30 p.m. and 1 hour prior to mass at the church.
