Bernadine I. Barnes

Bernie, as she was affectionately called by her friends and family, passed away on June 4, 2018 in Dallas, TX, in the presence of her two sons, Jeff and Gary. She was born March 25, 1929, and lived to 89 years of age. Bernie lived most of her life in Williamston, MI, enjoyed golf and bowling, and very much missed the town and her many friends when she moved to Texas to be with her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, George Barnes, her parents, Herbert and Bernice Smith, her sister Alice Wilson, brother Grover Smith, and daughter-in-law, Cathy (Katie) Barnes. Surviving are her two sons, Jeff (Cyndi) Barnes and Gary Barnes: and her 4 grandchildren, Chelsea Barnes, Jonathan Barnes, Graham Barnes, and Sydney (Kyle) Dennis, all living in or near Dallas, TX. She will be remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A graveside service was held on June 28th at 11:00 am at the Summit Cemetery in Williamston, MI.
