I fondly remember Chip as one of the nicest and most giving colleagues with whom I had the privilege to work.  No pretenses; just genuine kindness. My thoughts are with Val and his family.  May he rest in peace.

I too remember Bill, as we called him, back in high school and it was a pleasure to see him at class reunions. My friends and I would often visit with him while he did his part time job of cleaning store front windows on Chestnut Street.  We were in many clubs and activities together.  It was a good time back then and he was one of the "good guys".  While we went our separate ways after high school, our careers were somewhat similar.  I will never forget him.

I have many fond memories of Chip (I knew him as Bill) from our high school days & reconnecting at class reunions. My prayers go out to Val & his children.

Dear Val and family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Chips passing.  I went to school with him and also worked with him in several places overseas.  He was one of a kind, a very special person and I am honored to have had him as a friend and co-worker.  I will always remember the good times we shared. Dear Chisholm Family:  I never had the pleasure of meeting Chip's family, but I worked within the same Gov't service with him from the '70's until his retirement in 1990.  It was my pleasure and luck to know and work with such a great person.  Our last contact was at CP circa 1990 just before his retirement while I was serving in Raleigh, NC. Dear Val, Steve and Debbie...I met Chip/your wonderful Father while walking my beagle Maggie in our neighborhood.  He commented to me that Maggie was one of the few dogs that Katie liked, as we both chuckled.  After meeting Chip/your Father for the first time I felt I knew him many years.  I will always remember our short talks and how much he loved his family and Katie.  I will cherish his bright smile and kind wave as I drove by him on my way to work. When our father Uncle Bob', age 69, was taken from this Earth by Cancer, our mother, Aunt Shirley' questioned:

Why are all the GOOD men taken from this Earth early and the crotchety old ones allowed to remain of Earth longer? 

Her response:

God needed another right hand man to sit beside him, to continue to carry out his good deeds in Heaven.

Billy was a quiet, generous man.  He was our inspiration.  He was will always be, the exceptional husband, father, and uncle.  To all who had the opportunity to meet and know him, their lives have been changed forever and they are truly blessed.  Billy was a pseudo big bigger to my sister, me, and our families.  He was the wise, worldwide traveler, who exemplified the meaning of success.

As we say farewell to Billy Chisholm here on Earth, know that he is not far.  He is in a better place with no pain, looking down watching over us, guiding us from above.  His loving, warm hand will remain upon us forever until we depart this Earth.

Billy (Chip, as Val called him), left a legacy which only few men can match.  Although God chose Billy to leave this Earth early, age 74, REMEMBER he will never leave our hearts, he will sit at the right hand of God, beside our father, to continue to carry out good deeds and watch over us to make sure we care on the legacies they have left us.

Dear Val and Steve and Debbie, My gosh, how he loved you all, you were his pride and joy - and Wow - those precious granddaughters! We are so very lucky to have shared Chip with you (oh, that smile). From Okie in the late 60's, then our fun tour with dances (yes, Chip danced once) and ceramics and card games in the mid-70's, and more recently meeting yearly at Bravo or Mimi's with Bill and Barbara. Remembering our youngsters playing together - how time flies. We even shared a sail and swim in a TX lake. No matter the circumstance, you and Chip were always there for me.  There are only the fondest and most loving memories.  We are sharing your sorrow, and so sorry we will not be there for his life celebration on March 7th. It will be our honor to attend in Arlington this summer.  We are sending our love and hugs to you all. Chip and Val are the best neighbors. They welcomed us immediately when we moved to Queens Lake. Chip let you know he was a friend you could depend upon and we will miss him greatly. We wish the best to the family during this time. A sad day for Queens Lake.
