Sheila Jane Simmons

Simmons, Sheila Jane, "Sheilz" age 60 from Williamsburg, VA, passed away Thursday, June 2nd, 2022. Sheila was a graduate of Groveton High School in Alexandria, VA class of 1980. She attended Orange Coast College and George Mason University.

Sheila was married to the love of her life Roger Simmons and traveled the world as a military wife. She was devoted to her family and loved being mom to her four children. Ultimately, the Simmons settled in Kingsmill and enjoyed the small town feel of Colonial Williamsburg.

Sheila was an extremely creative person. She enjoyed collecting and refurbishing old furniture and antiques. For a time, she sold her creations at the Williamsburg Antique Mall. The Simmons home was lovingly decorated and Sheila made everyone feel welcome.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, LTC Roger Simmons, USA (Ret); daughter, Morgan Makana Simmons and fiancé Alex Derval of Los Angeles, California; sons, SGT Ryan Patrick Simmons, USA of Colorado Springs, CO, SPC Connor Blake Simmons of Colorado Springs, CO, and Sunley Brooke Simmons of Williamsburg, VA; brother, Jack Minogue; sisters, Lisa Madison, and Ann Buran; sisters-in-law, Sandra Simmons, and Kathy Minogue; brothers-in-law, Ken Madison, and Scott Buran; and many nieces and nephews.
