Shelly Derosier, 72, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2017. She was born on January 25, 1945, in Uniontown, PA to Charles and Elizabeth (Patchan) Livingston. Shelly graduated from Uniontown Joint Senior High School in 1962. She moved to Northern Virginia and worked for 30 plus years as a medical insurance specialist and office manager for Woodbridge Pediatrics LTD in Woodbridge, VA. She and her husband retired to Williamsburg in 2004 and settled in Claiborne Condominiums of Historical Williamsburg, where she became active in the Social club organizing many social events. Shelly was an active member St. Bede Catholic Church, especially the Young at Heart Ministry (55+). Shelly is survived by her husband George Derosier of 52 years; son Scott Derosier (Jessica) of Virginia Beach; daughter Dana Derosier-Huchthausen of Chesterfield; and five grandchildren Michael Scott Derosier (21), Bailey Anne Huchthausen (18), Matthew Edward Derosier (17), Nicholas Ryan Huchthausen (15) and Merrick Nathan Derosier (12) and her sister Adele Wilson (James) of Uniontown, PA . She is also survived many nieces and nephews. Forever in our hearts, all who loved her will forever miss her. She had a special love of family and loved spending time with her beautiful grandchildren. Her many friends feel the loss of her beautiful smile, warmness and happy attitude. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 6-8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. A Mass will be offered on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at 11:00am at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd, Williamsburg. Burial at the St. Bede Columbarium will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Shelly Derosier to the Hospice House of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
