Raymond William Cole

Born March 1st, 1942 to Norman and Eleanor Cole of Cedar Grove, New Jersey, he was one of seven children. He served in the US Navy onboard the USS Essex from 1961-1965. In 1967, he married Jo-Ann Basley of Pompton Plains, New Jersey and welcomed 2 children, Jeffrey and Kimberly, a few years later.

He was a volunteer firefighter with Pequannock Fire Company No. 2 from 1971-1983. In December of 1983, he moved to Williamsburg, Virginia. From 1984-2003, Raymond was a civil service worker for the US Navy. After retirement, he worked part time for Ace Hardware and Home Depot.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jo-Ann; son, Jeffrey (Jennifer) and daughter, Kimberly; granddaughters, Joanna and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Carson, Harper and Ethan. Raymond is also survived by siblings, Norman (Ellie), Gilbert (June), Gloria, David, and Janet. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Eleanor and his sister, Eleanor.
