Odell Thomas Milby

Odell Thomas Milby, of Williamsburg, passed away on Sunday, May 10, at the age of 92. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Cornelius and Hattie Maude Wilson Milby; and sister Pearl, Virginia Willis.

Odell was a painter for the Chesapeake Corp of Virginia, retiring in 1985. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends, as well as gardening, bird-watching, and photography. He was a member of Historical Society of King & Queen County, New Hope United Methodist Church, as well as served on the Board of Directors of Kinfolks, Inc.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, of 65 years, Esther Wilson Milby; daughter, Betty Milby Case and her husband, Dean Elliott Case of Williamsburg; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was the special uncle of niece, Dorothy Ashburn (Ranny), of Carrollton, VA and nephew, Joseph A. Drudge, Jr. (Gail), Athens, GA; and host of other nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, from 7:00PM-9:00PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 14, beginning at 1PM at the Nelsen Funeral Home Chapel.
