Nancy Alice Scott

Nancy Boyette Scott passed away peacefully at home with her family on October 16, 2015. Nancy was born July 20, 1938 in Kenly, NC. She graduated from Rex School of Nursing in Raleigh, NC in 1959 receiving a degree as a Registered Nurse. Nancy faithfully supported her husband and family while living around the world as an Army wife; retiring in Williamsburg, VA. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Nancy is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 56 years Augustus Donald Scott; her son, Augustus Donald Scott, Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Newport News; a daughter, Lynn Scott Blandy and her husband, Peter, of Vermont; and four grandchildren, Charles Scott, Matthew Scott, Hannah Scott and Matthew Blandy.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, October 22nd from 6:00-8:00pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. A Memorial service will be held Friday, October 23rd, 11:00am at Faith Baptist Church, 4107 Rochambeau Drive, Williamsburg, VA 23188 (faithbaptistwilliamsburg.org). Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will be on a date yet to be determined.
