Mildred (Mollie) Storer Robbins, died peacefully on Saturday, May 09, 2015 in the tender care of Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg. Mollie was born on January 24, 1918 in Essex, England, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Storer. She is predeceased by her parents and elder sister, Mona Storer. Her beloved husband, Leo, to whom she always referred as “My old sweetie,” died December 28, 1998. At Mollie’s request, their ashes will be co-mingled and laid to rest at Saint Martin’s Episcopal Church where she was a founding member.
Mollie leaves behind two beloved sons and a very extended family. She will be missed by her eldest son, Christopher John Robbins and wife, Constance Diaz Robbins, five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and youngest son, Paul Frederick Robbins and wife, Meri Robbins, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by first cousin, John Storer and his children and grandchildren and two nieces in England.
Mollie will be missed by her many friends from her years as a Colonial Williamsburg Historical Interpreter in both buildings and gardens. She had many friends and fans from her fifty years with the Williamsburg Players, where she appeared on stage and worked backstage to everyone’s enjoyment and entertainment.
Nelsen Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Martin’s Episcopal Church, 1333 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA, with the Reverend J. Clay Riley presiding.
