She was born in Savannah, Georgia on December 25, 1920 and grew up in Forest Hills, New York. Before moving to Kingsmill in 1985, she had lived in Darien, Connecticut for thirty years.
She attended the College of William and Mary, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was also a member of Bruton Parish Church and a member of the Williamsburg Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She had been a volunteer for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and an active volunteer at Williamsburg Community Hospital for many years.
She is survived by a son, John M. Geddes and wife, Susan of New York City; a daughter, Barbara Loh and husband, Wallace of Maryland; and a granddaughter, Andrea of Maryland.
