An intelligent woman and a great hostess, Mickey gave up college for public service. She worked for many years as a commercial realtor for several Northern Virginia Realty companies.
She enjoyed traveling abroad, and loved her family and friends. Her motto was “a life well lived.” Their song was the Twelfth of Never by Johnny Mathis, because they loved each other this deeply.
Mickey is survived by her daughter, Cynthia of Northern Neck, VA; son, Douglas of Williamsburg, VA; daughter, Leslie of Richmond, VA; as well as nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Interment will take place at Cedar Grove at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Sentara Hospice 100 Sentara Circle, Williamsburg, VA 23188 (www.sentara.com) in Mickey’s honor.
