Maria Maury Valeta

Maria Isabel Maury Valeta, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Carlos Maury and Agusto Maury; her sister, Isabel Maury; and her parents. She was from Cartagena, Columbia, but moved to the United States in the 50’s, living in the Bronx. She had spent the last eight years living with her loving family in Williamsburg, enjoying watching her great-nieces and nephews grow up. Maria had beautiful eyes and a beautiful smile. She loved listening to music and had a passion for sewing, knitting and crocheting. Maria is survived by her sister, Rosa Mansisidor; nephew, J. Mansisidor (Tracey) and their children: Alexsis, Andres, Ross, Chris, Shea, and Zach; nephew, Angel Perez and his family; niece, Carmen Madera and her family; nephew, Carlos Maury, and his family; and her four-legged family, Mandy and Lucy. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 6-8:00pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, Williamsburg. A service will follow on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 12:00pm at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 104 Norge Ln, Williamsburg. Interment will take place at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
