Lura Lee Hylton

Lura was a graduate of James Blair High School, Class of 1959. Later, she split her time between being a devoted housewife and the bookkeeper for the family business.

In her spare time, Lura enjoyed family genealogy, playing cards and getting together with family and her numerous friends.

She will be missed by her beloved husband, Clyde E. Hylton; her devoted sons, Dallas Ray, James Lonnie, and Christopher “Tony” Richmond; her sisters, Barbara Fannin Martin and Dovie Sue Settle McCormick; her brother, John “Johnny” Settle; her five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and six nieces.

The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00 PM on Monday, September 4 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. A Celebration of Lura's life will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 5 beginning at 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
