Kenneth Ray Ward

Kenneth “Ken” R. Ward, 88, of Williamsburg, passed away on February 6, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruby Ward; son, Kevin; brother, Larry; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Jo Watson; brother-in-law, Ted Watson; and sister-in-law, Faye Ward. He enrolled at Gaston Technical Institute where he graduated in Electronic Engineering. Ken then worked for Hewlett-Packard as a Service Manager as well as being self-employed. Ken and Nancy were married October 7, 1956. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ward; son, Lindsay (Patti); daughter, Kendra Garrington (John); grandchildren, Brian Ward (Kelsea), Jordan Ward, Caroline Ward, Danielle Garrington, and David Garrington (Julie); great-grandson, August Lindsay Ward; and special sister-in-law, Hilda Watson. A service will take place on February 11, 2022 at 11:00am at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 500 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, 150-d, Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
