John James Curry, (81), died Thursday, May 24, 2018. He was born on June 15, 1936 in Manhattan, New York. He graduated from Pace College, New York, New York and became a CPA. John was also the Vice President of Finance for a major consumer products company in New Jersey.
In 1995, John and his wife, Carol, retired to Williamsburg, Virginia. He served as Chairman on the Governor’s Land Foundation’s Finance Committee and was a member of the Two Rivers Country Club Men’s Golf Association.
John is predeceased by his brother, Michael Curry. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Carol and his Pennsylvania relatives: sister-in-law, Janet Curry; nephews, Matthew (Heather) Curry, Adam (Katie) Curry, Drew (Donetta) Curry; and goddaughter, Barbara Stites from Cape Coral, Florida.
A visitation will take place from 4-6pm on Wednesday, May 30th at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. The funeral Mass will be on Thursday, May 31st beginning at 11:00am at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg.
