He was predeceased by his son, George Joseph Woolley, III. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Woolley; his daughter, Theresa Ollice (Bruce); and his brother, James Woolley.
George served his country and was retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a WWII veteran, and was also retired from civil service where he worked at the Naval Weapon Station, in Yorktown, VA. He was an avid stamp and baseball card collector. George was a hard worker, and a family man. He was also God fearing and remained faithful in the Lord, by reading his bible every day.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 6-8PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11AM also at Nelsen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King Williams Drive, Williamsburg, VA.
