Dorothy Mae Johnson

She was born on January 19, 1924, in Petersburg, Virginia to the late William S. and Annie H. Thomas.

When Lloyd and Dorothy married, they moved to South Norfolk in Chesapeake, Virginia. Dorothy, (who was called "Nanny" by her family), was a homemaker and loved being with her family. She was a member of Rosemont Christian Church in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd F. Johnson Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Johnson Brown (Doug); her two granddaughters, Jenny Jenkins (Heath) and Courtney Phillips (Joe); and her 4 great grandchildren, Ava, Colby, Olivia, and Connor. She is also survived by her sister, Mildred Leech (Tommy); and her cousin, Janet King.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, Va.
