Dolores Loreen Barnbeck

She was born on January 28, 1925 in Los Angeles, California. She was a long-time resident of the Town of Lawndale, CA (part of the South Bay community). She moved to Virginia in July of 2019 to be close to her son and caretaker, Rev. Timothy Dice, and his family: wife Mary Dodson-Dice, son Jeremy Dice, and daughter Cady Dice. When she moved, she left behind her grandson, John C. Dice. She took with her a precious pet and constant companion, Chewy, the Chihuahua! In 2021, he won the Pet Talent Show at Brookdale.

Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Barnbeck; her father, Charles E. Iler; her mother, Alice Fehrman Iler; her stepmother, Evelyn Daggett Iler; and her sons, Ronald and Larry Dice.

Services for family members and friends will be held in California next week, and at a later date at Westville Christian Church in Mathews, VA.
