Constance Murtha Edwards

Connie was a resident at Patriots Colony of Williamsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, H. Lynn Edwards; her parents, Maude Eckman Murtha and John Joseph Murtha; her sister, Patricia Murtha Conway; brothers, Jack Murtha and Edward Murtha.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Edwards MacKenzie of Williamsburg; her sister, Mary Murtha Humphries; grandchildren, Anne MacKenzie Kotraba. Lynn MacKenzie Iovino, Stuart Arthur MacKenzie, III., and their spouses; five great-grandchildren, Joshua MacKenzie, Iain MacKenzie, Jack MacKenzie, Braden Iovino and Tanner Iovino; and many nieces and nephews.

Connie loved her catholic faith and lived life accordingly. She was a friend to all and had a very contagious smile. We will miss her presence.

We wish to thank the amazing staff at Convalescent Center and Springhouse for their constant care, love and support and to the entire Patriots Colony staff. We wish also to thank Hospice for their dedicated services.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Norge, Williamsburg, on Friday, February 24 at 10a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be honored at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 104 Norge Lane, Williamsburg, VA 23188 or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
