Betty Marable Ware

Betty Marable Ware, 88, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rodney Ware; and by her parents, Edward and Dorothy Marable. A graduate of Hampton High School, she retired from Verizon after 35 years. A lover of dog shows, Betty was an owner, breeder and handler of champion Siberian Huskies and Boston Terriers. She loved being around her family and all her “dog show” friends. Betty is survived by her son, Lee Ware (Kathe); her grandchildren, Bill Ware (Kelly) and Kristen Brown (James); and 6 great grandchildren. The family would also like to acknowledge her close friend and adopted “daughter”, Cindy Plessinger. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Charter Senior Living as well as Gentiva Hospice, both in Williamsburg. The care given, and dedication shown, are appreciated much more than words can describe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the Heritage Humane Society in Williamsburg.
