Barbara Moore Wheeler

Barbara Moore Wheeler, 81, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Wheeler; her parents, Katherine and William David Moore, Jr.; and her brother, William David Moore III. Barbara attended the University of Mary Washington and attended Olive Branch Christian Church. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved to travel, her church, and her many friends at Verena. Barbara especially enjoyed reminiscing and telling stories. She found great joy visiting the beach and spending time with her grandchildren, playing games, cards and was always working on a jigsaw puzzle. Survivors include her sons, James Randall Wheeler (Starla), William Christopher Wheeler (Sheri) and Bryan Alexander Wheeler (Kirsten); grandchildren, Cameron, Austin, Kyle, Andrew, Cassie, Connor, Anna and Calvin; sisters, Jeanne Moore Tyler (Catlin Tyler Jr.), and Deborah Moore Dobson; sister-in-law, Carolyn Pope Moore; brother-in-law, John Wheeler; and significant other, Jim Romesburg. The service will be held 11:00AM on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Olive Branch Christian Church, 7643 Richmond Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188 with a reception to follow afterwards.
