Alan Ramsay

Alan James Ramsay, 87, originally of Glasgow Scotland, passed away in Williamsburg, VA February 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, William McAllister and Margaret Jane Ramsay; brother, Robert Hutchinson Ramsay; and beloved cousin, Irene Westwood.

Alan worked as an Electrical Engineer for Honeywell, Inc. for 36 years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alice Docherty Ramsay; brother, William Alistair Ramsay; sons, Alistair Ramsay (Patricia), and Alan W. Ramsay (Shannon); daughters, Marie Anne Field, and Margaret Wedde (Michael); grandchildren, Robert Ramsay, Catherine Ramsay Woodson, Sean Wedde, James Wedde, Stephen Wedde, William Ramsay, Elizabeth Ramsay, Ryan Field, and Christopher Field; and great-grandchildren, Luke Wedde, Joseph Woodson, and Natalie Wedde.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 10am, at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg, VA, with a service to follow at 11am. Interment will also be Friday, February 21, 1:30pm, at St. Bede’s Church, Williamsburg, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Olaf’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg, VA.
