Ralph Byron McKelvey

Ralph Byron McKelvey age 87, of Willard, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the glad morning of June 3, 2019, at home with his wife by his side. He was born October 2, 1931 to Glenn and Kate McKelvey and graduated from New Haven High School in 1950. He married the love of his life, Sandra Lois Vogel, on February 15, 1958 and together they were blessed to lovingly raise 4 children. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother Beatrice, brother Robert (Elizabeth), son Edward and daughter-in-law, Victoria. He is survived by his daughter Barbra, and sons Barton (Candace) and William (Aimee). He cherished his 8 grandchildren, Kyle, Caitlin, Kamryn, Karmen, Kolin, Cody, Collin and Electa and was looking forward to welcoming his first great-grandchild this fall.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, a trimmer operator at R.R. Donnelley for 36 years, a talented woodworker and an active, faithful member of the Christian Alliance Church in Willard.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 6, at 11:00 at the Christian Alliance Church, 1609 S. Conwell Ave., with his son Rev. Barton F. McKelvey officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to the church.
