Sue Jonczyk

Wanda Sue Jonczyk, age 82, of The Villages, Florida passed away on January 31, 2024. She was known by all who knew and loved her as “Sue.” Sue was born on August 26, 1941 in Cynthiana, Kentucky to the late Willard Neil and Fannie Elizabeth (Nichols) Harney. She started her career in the banking industry as a Bank Officer and finished her career in property management. She and Bob then moved to The Villages from Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin in 2013 to enjoy the next chapter in their lives, RETIREMENT!

Sue was a member of St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church and Springdale East & Friends Social Club. She was the kind of person that would try anything once! Sue enjoyed golf, playing cards, shopping, partying with friends; however, her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61+ years, Robert “Bob” Jonczyk; children, Frank (Heidi) Jonczyk, Diane Akel and Deborah Sue; sons-in-laws, Radi Akel and Jeff Davison; sisters, Ann and Ruth along with eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A visitation will be Tuesday, February 6 from 3-5 p.m. at Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center, 7134 Powell Road, Wildwood, FL 34785 with a service at 4 p.m. A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, February 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 Southwest 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.

Sue had a love for flowers; however if you’d rather make a memorial donation in her name, Tunnels to Towers Foundation or the Gary Sinise Foundation would be the family’s choice.
