Floyd G. Moore, CMSgt (USAF ret) age 80, passed peacefully in Clermont, Florida on December 6, 2022. He was born on a farm in Vanderbilt, Michigan on December 7, 1941 to the late Oscar and Bernice Moore.
He and his twin brother, Lloyd, joined the United States Air Force after graduating high school. For 30 years, Floyd served his country with honor and integrity before retiring at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He then joined the faculty at Judson High School in Converse, Texas and spent a decade teaching junior ROTC. After retiring from teaching, he poured his time into his family and friends, enriching the lives of everyone who knew him.
He spent his later years in Winter Garden, Florida, near family.
Floyd is preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Sherryl.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 62 years, Ruth; his loving daughters, Leslie (husband Ladd), Misty (husband Brad), and eight grandchildren: Shane, Joshua, Chelsea, Miranda, Kristin, Bailey, Timothy, and Alexander.

Floyd will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery On April 19th 2024 at 3:00pm .
All will miss him terribly, and will always remember him as their hero.
